Claire catches up with the Managing Director Ben from Redwell to find out what they have been up to since founding the brewery!
Can you introduce Redwell brewing?
Redwell Brewing Co. was founded in 2013 to create some of the best craft beers known to man – that also happen to be Vegan and Gluten-Free. Following a change of ownership, our small passionate team of brewers and beer lovers alike is led by Ben Hopkins (ex-Naked Wines and Virgin Wines) and Belinda Jennings (M Brew, ex Adnams and Greene King). Every Redwell beer is led by taste, but you’ll always find that little bit of Redwell magic in every can!
What was the first beer you brewed?
Some of our best-loved beers in the current range have been brewed since the early days. Steam Lager and West Coast Pale Ale are particular customer favourites as well as our own.
What is your top selling beer in your taproom?
Extra Pale Ale has been a front runner in the taproom for some time now! Now it’s available at Flavourly too…
Are there any exciting plans that you have for 2019?
We have so much going on this year, it has been an incredible start to the year. Firstly we’re doubling our sales to reach a wider audience through both can and keg sales. We’re improving our offering at the taproom to include a shop as well as more regular brewery tours and tastings. And finally, we’re investing heavily in our can range, relaunching our core canned beers in the next few months and offering limited runs on more of our beers to enable us to get them to a wider audience.
