Hilden Brewing Company was founded back in 1981 and is based in the courtyard of the historic Hilden House. The brewery was started to revive the tradition of brewing locally, and of making characterful beers that are reflective of their setting. w with the march of time, the Hilden Brewing Company has ended up with the accolade of being Ireland's oldest independently owned brewery. is family-owned affair has now has passed from founders Seamus and Ann Scullion to the next generation; Owen, Francis, and Siobhan. Hilden continues to hum away amongst these historic settings while continuing to create brewing history in Ireland.
