First brewed on St. Valentine's Day back in 2006, this romantic brew will go down in history as one of Allendale's first and most loved efforts. Ruby red in colour and highly drinkable, its nose is gentle, blessed with the scent of bran flakes and cake. That subtle sweetness carries over onto the palate as cinnamon and orange rind come in, making this a pleasant brew that's ridiculously easy to fall in love with! - Learn more about Allendale
About the makers
Allendale Brewing real ales since 2006
To call Allendale a 'labour of love' makes sense in more than one way. Founded by Tom Hick and his father Jim back in 2004, the pair spent the best part of two years trying to find a place that would suit their beery vision. Winding up close to home in Northumberland, things finally came together on St. Valentine's Day in 2006 when they first released Curlew's Return - a beer they still make to this day! Now, that duo has expanded into a group of nine with Lucy, Tom's wife joining the team as a multi-talented owner, company director and designer! View the Allendale page
