Description

A soaring amber ale with a perfect balance of citrus and malt. As the name suggests, this amber ale lifts the spirits by infusing classic British hops with a malty backbone to create this medium bodied thirst quencher. It’s the perfect year-round beer – refreshing in summer and satisfying in winter. A corker with a winter vegetable soup and equally at home when sharing your mouth with a Glenmorangie 18-year-old malt. - Learn more about Black Isle Brewing

About the makers

Black Isle Brewing Homegrown in the highlands

Black Isle was started by David Gladwin in 1998. An unemployed beer lover, he set out to make world class beer using barley and hops grown on organic farms as nature intended. The Black Isle is famous for the quality of its malting barley and it was there on the farm called Allangrange. In 1790 Sir Roderick Mackenzie recorded that the land was found to be of “superior quality for the brewer and distiller.” The brewery has bought 125 acres and turned it into a working organic farm growing organic barley to make their delicious beer. Today Black Isle can brew up to 10,000 litres a day and ship all the way to Japan. View the Black Isle Brewing page
