Borders 20cl by R&B Distillers
Description

Borders Highland Single Grain Whisky pays homage to the distillery’s Victorian heritage, giving it a fresh twist by finishing the whisky in Oloroso Sherry casks. It’s a unique Scotch in that it is created with 50% wheat and 50% malted barley, both sourced from the same Scottish distillery. Notes of sherry hit the nose, with a rich nutty character underneath that’s edged with sweetness. It pours a light gold leading to a dry taste and a mouthful that’s filled with a luscious herbal bouquet and hint of warmth underneath the sherry coated flavour. - Learn more about R&B Distillers

About the makers

R&B Distillers Handcrafted Whiskies of Uncommon Provenance

R&B stands for Raasay and Borders; two unique and contrasting landscapes connected by the family history of R&B co-founder, Alisdair Day. One of his grandfathers hailed from the Hebrides while the other, Richard Day, was a whisky blender in a Border town. The family tradition of whisky making lives on as Alisdair and Bill Dobbie are to open two distilleries. The first opened on Raasay in September 2017 and is the island's first legal distillery. The second will be in the Borders where there hasn't been a whisky distillery since 1837. Talk about making an impression! Too eager to wait, the founders have already started producing a taste of what is to come in partnership with another distillery. There is a minimum of three years before you can call your new spirit whisky, so you'll have to wait until 2020 to compare Raasay While We Wait with Raasay Single Malt! View the R&B Distillers page
