Originally brewed to celebrate the Tall Ships festival in Aberdeen from 1997, this former-IPA has undergone a wheat and elderflower makeover and subsequent total taste upheaval. Using wheat in the brewing process gives this fresh beverage a pineapple sweetness that mingles beautifully with the Perle hops. The taste is tied together by incorporating the flavours (and natural fermentation properties) of elderflower, giving this beer a cornucopia of fruity character. Perfect on a summer afternoon, even more perfect if you’re on a boat. But not if you’re the captain.
