Description

Honouring the tradition of beers honouring monks (who honoured god), Blackfriar from Inveralmond is a dark and inviting Scotch Ale whose hearty flavours defy any real category, but guarantee satisfaction. With all the mellow magic of a solid Scottish Heavy, but with a vibrant hoppy aftertaste which blows that boundary out the window, Blackfriar is an ale that keeps you guessing. One thing is for sure though, this is an enchanting ale from a deeply impressive brewer. - Learn more about Inveralmond Brewery

About the makers

Inveralmond Brewery

Inveralmond Brewery is based in Perth and was founded by Fergus Clark in 1997. Fergus has a long list of credentials, having previously worked in breweries for ten years and studying brewing at Heriot-Watt University, until he decided to raise his own capital and go it alone with Inveralmond. The team grew and the range expanded, and in 2002 they won Champion Beer of Scotland for their Ossian beer. Nowadays they operate out of a brand new facility and in 2014 they brewed over 2 million pints, using the famous Perthshire water, free of impurities. View the Inveralmond Brewery page
