Birki by Schoppe Bräu
£ 2.95

This is a modern take on a medieval recipe where birch sap would be used instead of malt in the years of bad harvests. Schoppe Bräu’s Birki uses 8% Swedish sourced birch sap to add a unique fruity kick to the beer which is full of fresh herbal notes. The brew is almost orange in colour with a sweet honey-like taste and sturdy malt background. Something a bit different to your usual ale. - Learn more about Schoppe Bräu

About the makers

Schoppe Bräu Brewing craft from Kreuzberg – and dedicated to it.

In Britain, we’ve come to expect our craft to come from rolling, countryside hills. Germany do things a little differently, though. Schoppe are based in the heart of the industrial and cultural capital, Berlin. Since 2001, they’ve been behind some of the most gently prepared, artisanal beers the country has come to enjoy. Made with malts, hops and elbow grease, their diverse (and often filthily named) collection are more than worth a second and third sip. View the Schoppe Bräu page
