Description

This is an excellent all round wheat beer from the oldest brewery in the world. This golden-yellow brew dazzles the nose with a robe of cloves, tickles the taste buds with fresh banana flavours, and delights the eyes with its fine-poured white foam. Full-bodied with a smooth yeast taste, this beverage can be enjoyed at any time, but make sure you have one to hand if you’re trying out traditional Bavarian veal sausage. - Learn more about Weihenstephaner

About the makers

Weihenstephaner The World's Oldest Brewery

Almost a thousand years ago the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan was the monastery brewery of the Benedictine monks. Then, the Royal Bavarian State Brewery, it is now operating as a state directed enterprise under the control of the Bavarian Government. As the oldest still existing brewery in the world it stands upon the Weihenstephan hill, surrounded by the comparatively very young Weihenstephan science centre of the Technical University of Munich. And so, a unique tradition and brewing culture developed over the centuries. Today, Korbinian’s heirs use the most modern technology, but they never forgot their own history and their own high standards. This allows them to brew a variety of beers of the highest possible quality. View the Weihenstephaner page
